One neuroinclusive tip you can apply to your training tomorrow #2
This tip is from the Processing part of the Neurocolours Wheel.
When we ask questions as trainers, we often reward the fastest thinkers - those that can process verbal information quickly. This is why the same three or four voices often end up speaking.
But we all process information differently and some people need time to process.
So try this: The 30-second pause.
Ask your question. Then say: "Take 30 seconds to think about it before anyone answers."
Then don't talk. Let the silence be. It might feel uncomfortable. But silence often means people are thinking. Don't interrupt it.
I bet if you try it regularly, you'll start to see different people speak up.
Remember: Silence is your friend.
